The North Roland Park Improvement Association has secured a
grant from the State of Maryland for $270,000 to make improvements on the pedestrian bridge at Melrose Avenue, between Kenmore Avenue and Roland Avenue, adjacent to The Bryn Mawr School.

This is very welcome news!

NRPIA Board President Doug Schmidt is to be congratulated for his efforts to obtain the grant.

We will be creating a non-profit organization, The Friends of the Melrose Avenue Bridge, to manage bridge improvements.  

There are still LOTS of details to be resolved but we hope to get started later this year to repair and improve this important North Roland Park resource.
